Chris Newton, CEO

Meet the Founder & CEO

Chris Newton


Chris Newton, the Founder and CEO of Global Dimensions, has a distinguished career as a seasoned Chief Intelligence Analyst in the U.S. Army. He has served in multiple operations, to include Desert Storm, Noble Eagle, Enduring Freedom, Iraqi Freedom, and Resolute Support. His contributions include real-time mission support to the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), National Ground Intelligence Center (NGIC), Military Intelligence Readiness Command (MIRC), United States Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM), and various other subordinate units and commands. With over 20 years in federal contracting, he has served as a senior manager in most headquarter positions, to include Executive, Human Resources, Program Management, Recruiting, Finance, Quality Control, and Personnel Security. In addition to his professional accomplishments, personally Mr. Newton continues to support programs for at-risk youth, and has been involved with various self-funded missions providing humanitarian assistance to local orphanages.

Jim Noone recently retired from the Defense Intelligence Agency as an SES 2.  He began his 41-year DoD career as a Naval Intelligence Officer.  Senior Executive assignments include leading DIA’s Office for International Partner Engagement, 2016 Presidential Transition Team, Middle East-North Africa Office, Military Infrastructure Office, European Office (during the Balkan wars) and OSINT Office.  In 2005-6, Jim led a 1200-person document exploitation facility in the Persian Gulf. He is a Distinguished Graduate of the National War College.  He also serves as Global’s Quality Assurance Manager and is an ITAR Empowered Official. Jim has a truly global focus and has visited 44 countries and 42 states.

Tom Downing has been engaged in Public Sector business development since 1998, working primarily with the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community to provide professional services. He has lead business capture for Language, Intelligence, Cyber Security, IT, and Logistics activities that support both CONUS and OCONUS opportunities. He also has extensive experience recruiting and prides himself in being able to find those “purple unicorns”. His unique ability to connect with people and identify ways to work together has led to the growth of Global Dimensions as a diverse and stable federal contractor.

Director of Programs

Tom Brown, PMP, has over 40 years’ experience in military and contracting services. He served over 28 years in the US Air Force participating in multiple Joint and Service Headquarters and Operational assignments, including Security Assistance, He held multiple command leadership assignments.  He closed his military career as the HQ United States Air Forces in Europe, Deputy Director, Communications and Information Technology.  He has 14 years’ contract program management experience including extensive experience in European Operations. He served in Alaska, Germany, Turkey, Egypt, and the Balkans; and supported multiple Northern Pacific, Eastern European, Balkan, SWA, and South Atlantic operations.

Myriah Denk, VP of Contracts

Myriah Denk is the Vice President of Contracts overseeing all of Global Dimensions’ corporate contracts, subcontracts, purchasing operations and is responsible for all domestic and international contracting and procurement policy, process, operations, and compliance. She serves as the company’s principal representative to industry and government regarding acquisition policy matters. Myriah is an accomplished leader with not only broad experience in the fields of compliance, procurement, and contracts, but possesses in-depth knowledge of operations, strategy, and business development as well. Myriah has served in numerous contracting and acquisition positions of increasing responsibility at Fortune 500 companies within the aerospace, research and development, and defense industry. Myriah brings over 24 years of professional government contracts experience to Global Dimensions. She is a former Active-Duty US Marine Corps Contracting Officer, serving for 10 years domestically and abroad.  She has led international efforts on procurement reform, financial management reform, policy formulation, as well as process reengineering efforts in developing countries. She has experience in more than 65 countries and is an expert in federal compliance, procurement, contracts, change management and negotiations. Ms. Denk is DAWIA Level III Certified in Contracting. She holds her Certified Federal Contract Management certification from the National Contracts Management Association (NCMA), as well as a bachelor’s of business administration from Campbell University.

Bonita Thompson, VP of HR

Bonita Thompson, SPHR, SHRM-SCP has 30 years of Human Resources experience, effectively developing, leading and managing human resource programs and policies. She is a proven strategic leader with demonstrated ability to grow a human resources department from the ground up. She holds the reputation as a solutions-driven professional, designing and implementing a variety of programs to attain shared goals and vision, implementing HR best practices, and ensuring compliance in all areas of HR. She led three OFCCP desk audits of Affirmative Action Plans, resulting in a Notice of Compliance for each. Ms. Thompson currently serves as the company’s EEO/AA Administrator. Ms. Thompson maintains two senior professional HR certifications, Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and SHRM SCP (Senior Certified Professional). She earned a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Mary Washington, with a concentration in Organizational and Human Resource Development. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a minor in Marketing at the State University of New York-Fredonia.  Ms. Thompson is a long-standing member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and the Prince William SHRM Chapter. As a past member of the Fredericksburg Regional SHRM Chapter, she served on the Board in various capacities, to include VP of Membership, VP of Programs and President-Elect. She is a veteran of the US Air Force, honorably discharged at the rank of Sergeant. Ms. Thompson resides in Fredericksburg, Virginia with her husband and enjoys cycling, hiking and working out during her spare time as well as corresponding with six children she and her husband sponsor through Compassion International.

Starting as an Intelligence Specialist in the United States Navy, over the past 27 years Brad has performed critical roles within the National Industrial Security Program as a Contractor Program Security Officer, Contractor Special Security Officer, Facility Security Officer, and ultimately a Director of Security in the greater National Capital Region. Even within a high tempo operational environment, Brad has been recognized for superior performance during the audits and inspections his numerous areas of responsibility have been subject to. Brad’s extensive knowledge in security administration, gained through multiple certification programs for the primary user agencies, yielded great personal growth, total industry compliance, and complete company mission success.
